During a hiatus in commercial work, I was keen to explore how our brains remember those iconic faces we're accustomed to seeing. Rather than offer up a straightforward likeness, I wanted to invite the viewer to recall the unique characteristics of a face, in turn generating their own likeness.

Each of the portraits in this collection has been approached in two contrasting methods, designed to both reflect and evoke what we know and remember about a face.
